Synopsis Nathaniel loves spending his holidays on the coast with his aunt Eleonore, who can tell a thousand fantasy tales better than anyone else. Eleonore bequeathes Nathaniel a misterious key. When he uses it, he is downtrodden by the inheritance: a pile of dusty old books. But he is unaware that he is about to embark on a great adventure accompanied by the magic beings that exist in the tales from these books, in which he has to conquer the limits of reality while exceeding his own capacities. Dominique Monfery works with illustrator Rebecca Dautremer (famous for Forgotten or Unknown Princesses [Princesas Olvidadas o Desconocidas]) in creating a rich imaginary world populated by characters from classic tales. Winner of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival award.
Director bio Dominique Monféry was born in 1965.
