Synopsis William is eleven and he has a paper round with his older brother and his friend Bobby. William wants to be a gangster, he has got what it takes, to the point that, along with his friends, he sets up a racket. Ice cream van heists, airgun shots, the business is doing well, they decide to diversify their operations, but above all, they have to stop their boss Pauline, who’s tougher than nails, from finding out.
Director bio Born in Scotland, he graduated in Visual Communications by the Edinburgh College of Art in 1999. His first short, Who’s my Favourite Girl, won the BAFTA for Best Short Film as well as the Young Jury Prize at Gijón International Film Festival in 2000, where he also screened his next work, The Toon Fair, in its 39th edition. His shorts have received critical acclaim and broadcasted on BBC and Channel 4. He is currently pursuing a successful career as commercials director and working on a number of feature projects.
