Synopsis Bertrand Bonello retakes the story of Tiresias, a renowned blind wise man of the Greek mythology and brings it to the 21st century. According to the myth, the volatile wife of Zeus, Hera, transformed Tiresia into a woman and, after seven years, brought him back to his original state as a man. Hera, flaring up again because of an argument with her husband, blinds Tiresia, a handicap Zeus tries to compensate by granting him the gift of foresight. Tiresia, the character emulating the wise man in Bonell's film, has also been a man and then a woman, but not through the acts of whimsical gods: this is a transsexual man become woman turned prostitute. As from Tiresia's kidnapping, events will unfold vertiginously until, finally, she ends up reproducing the tragic and fascinating destiny of the myth.
