Shortly after the death of his mother, John gets immersed in a deep personal crisis that translates into a state of hyperactivity: he sells articles online, does small-time swindling here and there, and has cockroaches at home. Plus, the people around him are not of much help in coping with his internal imbalance.

Director bio

The Safdie Brothers were born and reised in New York between Queens and Maniatan. Thay have found making films since their father bought them a Hi-8 camera. In 2001 they foundedRed Bucket Films with a group of friends. The collective capture “buttons”: brief moments in daily life of New York, using the most unorthodox techniques. WithRed Bucket Films they produced their first film,The pleasure of being robbed (written by Ben and directed by Joshua) which was warmly received at varios international festivals. They come back to Gijon (last year they presented their filmGo get some Rosemary) with a short tittledJohn’s gone.
