Synopsis Julie de Hauranne, a French actress with a Portuguese mother, visits Lisbon for the first time in her life for the purpose of starring in a movie based on Cartas de una monja portuguesa (Letters of a Portuguese Nun), an epistolary romance of the 17th century recently attributed to the literary and Diplomatic French Count de Guilleragues. While the shooting is going on, Julie effortlessly integrates into the pleasant and relaxing everyday life of Lisbon, and enjoys a series of casual encounters that help her to once and for all forget her recent sentimental relationship. One of the most important is that which ends up with her meeting a nun she finds in the Nossa Senhora Chapel.
