FIC GIJON Extends its programme to reach Candás, Langreo and Laviana

The 48th. Gijon International Film Festival, to be held November 19-27, will take its programme also to a few Asturian venues off Gijón: Carreño (Candas), Langreo and Laviana will see a selection of films of the festival programme.

Candas will open the Festival sessions at Teatro Prendes with "Los castigadores" (Spain, 2010), directed by Alfonso Arandia y Arantza Ibarra, from the Enfants Terribles section, this will be followed by the Spanish Shortfilms Night and "L'esquive" and "Jalla! Jalla" from the Europa season. The closing screening will be the one dedicated to Dia D'Asturies (Asturian films competition)

Langreo's venues, the Felgueroso cinema and the La Felguera Theatre will offer the FIC 2006 Best Film winner, Senhsucht (Nostalgia), by Valeska Grisebach which is being included in the Berling School season this year. Later on they will also screen "Bus Palladium" (Enfants Terribles), "Te extraño" and "Dispongo de Barcos" (Esbilla). Some of the directors of these titles will be presenting their works to the public in Langreo.

Laviana will complete the decentralized offer of the Festival at the Culture House where 2008 Festival hits "Sommers Town" and Les enfants de Timpelbach will be screened along with the "Don't tell us about movies, Make them!" short films and the Día D'Asturies programme.
