An example of integration of various film formats aimed at the youngest arrives at the 49th edition of Gijón International Film Festival. The Festival will be the scenario of Copito de Nieve world-wide premiere, a FILMAX production, Spanish Film that stands up for the mixture of real images with 3D animations. The film will be screened in an official presentation on Saturday 26 November at five o'clock in the afternoon in Jovellanos Theatre, as part of Enfants Terribles section. It will serve as the closing event of the festival section which is devoted to the youngest.

Copito de Nieve is the only white gorilla in the world. His arrival at the zoo of Barcelona not only attracts great crowds of people but also the envy of other gorillas, which do no acept him as one of their own. When he finds out that the famous Witch from the North is in town, he decides to look for her so that he can become an ordinary gorilla. What Copito does not know is that outside the wicked Luc de Sac is waiting for him to capture him at any price.

The shooting of this film, set in the 60s, started on 24 May 2010 and finished on 16 July of the same year. The action takes place in various locations of Barcelona such as Park Güell , Tibidabo Avenue or Ciutadella Park. Constantino Romero and Manel Fuentes have lent their voices to some of the animated characters, while Elsa Pataki, Pere Ponce, Claudia Abate or Elsa Anka take the role of "real" characters.

The film, which has already been sold in more than twenty countries, had a budget of nearly seven million Euro. After the world-wide premiere on 26 November in Gijón International Film Festival, it will be screened in movie theatres throughout Spain from 23 December.
