Synopsis A love story which knows nothing about race and creed, and just because of that, will face adult prejudices, social suspicion and racial distrust. And all because a blonde teenage girl, Mie, has fallen for Shadi, a Palestinian boy, and their families are just two different worlds: she has no father and a mother who loves them but does not smother them, he comes from a traditional Muslim family. One night, Mie's brother is brutally beaten up to a coma and the Police suspects the fierce fists of Shadi's brother.
Director bio Annette K. Olesen graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1991, where she has later organized courses and served as a consultant and tutor for students studying direction and editing. She has made a number of award-winning short fiction and documentary films and commercials. Annette K. Olesen's national and international breakthrough on the silver screen came with Minor Mishaps, which won the Blue Angel at Berlin International Film Festival. In 2003 she was awarded the Statens Kunstfond three-year working grant, one of the fruits of which was her feature In your hands (2004) which received prizes at Sao Paulo, Seattle and Valladolid International Film Festivals, among other.
