Synopsis

Genaro Blanco, known as Genarín by his friends as well as in history, is a curious character in Nineteen-Twenties León. A skinner by trade, fond of debauchery, drinking, and brothels, he died on the night of Easter Thursday, run over by the very first garbage truck operating in the city. The Brotherhood of Our Holy Father Genarín organizes its own procession every year to pay tribute to the memory of this peculiar Ecce Homo. Thousands of locals and visitors march in the procession while hitting the bottle in this alcoholic via crucis in memory of Genaro. This event has become an official Festivity of Tourist Interest. Part fact, part fiction, this story explores the legend of Genarín and its ramifications in the city of León in the last eighty years
