Synopsis New German Cinema steadily includes other types of marginal characters; among them, homosexuals, like the main character in this film. Daily fascism prevails in a remote village in Low Bavaria, and it shows when the main character, Abram, is released from prison and goes back to his hometown, only to be rejected by the locals, even after fathering a young girl's baby. In a lapse of reason, he strangles her and is chased after in a man's hunt.
