Synopsis Atlántida is a story about entering adulthood. During a few summer days when their parents are not home, two sisters, Lucía (15) and Elena (17), find the room they need to live the experience of becoming grown ups. Lucía is a hormone bomb who rushes to look for these experiences. Stuck at home –plastered and with crutches- she is visited by the local doctor and convinces him to allow her to go together to visit his patients. Elena finds love softly. She leaves the house, upset with her sister, and runs into Ana, who drives her around the outskirts of town in her van.Cordoba films have their own point of view and tempo. This city in the province is not as stuffing as Buenos Aires, it doesn’t choke. Even with its own peculiarities, these are films linked to other places. These are movies made with little budget and close, a relative to non-fiction movies. Atlántida is film that moves without being cheesy, a movie it’s compulsory to relate to, one that quenches the thirst for good features just like a frozen ice cream would.
